Head Coach Shana Herman

Coach Shana Herman was born in Trenton, the capital city of New Jersey and was raised with her mother and her brother. From as earlier as 5 years-old she could always be spotted carrying around a basketball, she takes pride in the moment she fell in love with the game of basketball, in 1992, during the historical playoff series between the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks. She continued to develop and mature in her passion for playing the game throughout her life, striving to live up to her dream of becoming a medical doctor and the 1st girl to play in the NBA.    
She graduated from Kean University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in Physical Education. Coach Herman went on to attend Rutgers University, where she earned a master’s degree in social work and played in Hunterdon County’s, Women’s Basketball League influenced by legendary coach, C. Vivian Stringer. Her first role as a head coach was at Mary McDowell Friends School, an independent, Quaker school that specializes in educating students with learning disabilities in Brooklyn, NY. Coach Herman is known for planting seeds in many young athletes all over the tri-state area, including WNBA and NBA team, NY Liberty and NY Knicks, junior camps.
Coach Herman has resided in Lawrenceville, GA for 3 years, where she coached and led the Lady Wolfhounds of Notre Dame Academy to the school’s first ever Region-Championship and would have been the school’s 1st STATE appearance. She is happily married, and a mother to a 3-sport athlete, spunky fifth-grade daughter, Jada Raiford-Herman. During the summer, Coach Herman serves as a Basket Instructor for PGC Basketball, the 2nd largest basketball camp in the world. Coach Herman sincerely devotes her life to young athletes striving and aspiring to fulfill their individual dreams.
She believes now more than ever; this is the time for TUCKER LADY TIGERS to RISE and WIN!

Coach Ulysses Haynes

Ulysses Haynes has successfully coached Girls Basketball for 18 years.  His passion started with a Nike Travel team.  He has coached at J.O. Johnson High School (Huntsville, AL) and Center Point High School in Birmingham, AL where he led his basketball team to a 5A State Title in 2011 and made 3 Final Four consecutive appearances (2010, 2011, 2012). He recently coached at Towers High School in Decatur, Georgia and Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwannee, Georgia.

Coach Haynes believes in not only building an athlete but a student athlete.  He is proud that over 120 young ladies have gotten scholarships to play college basketball under his watch.  His current coaching record is 347-170.

Coach Haynes is married to Tracey Haynes, a Georgia native.  He has one daughter, Vashti Byrd, who is currently serving in the armed forces.

Ulysses attended the University of Alabama where he played football.  He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama in 2005.

Coach Ken Carson

Coach Ken Carson

Coach Ken Carson has over 30 years of coaching experience. The 7th of 9 children Coach Carson was born and raised in Decatur Illinois. Growing up his home life was centered on faith in God, family, and sports. His basketball playing career includes varsity basketball at Eisenhower High School; Richland Community College; semiprofessional basketball team the ADM Oil Kings.

Coach Carson is tremendously passionate and knowledgeable about the game of basketball. His strong emphasis on fundamentals. His commitment and sense of pride has helped produce winning players and teams of all ages.

Coach Carson was Head Basketball Coach for Edison Middle School: Champaign County Parks & Recreation Basketball Leagues: Assistant basketball Coach for Parkland College Women’s Basketball all in Champaign, Illinois.

After relocating to Georgia Coach Carson was the Assistant Varsity Coach for Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. Alongside Head Coach Doug Lipscomb, Coach Carson produced NBA player Sharif Adul Raheem; 13 Regional Championships. 6 Georgia State Championships, 9 Final Four appearances.

After his tenure at Wheeler High School, he pursued coaching AAU teams for over 10 years.

Varsity Head Coach for Fulton Science Academy, Alpharetta, Georgia. Under Coach Carson’s tutelage this program advanced from a 4-12 season record to the Georgia State Finals.

Coach Timika Pearson

Coach Timika Pearson (Coach T) joins the Lady Tiger coaching staff with a high-level of passion and knowledge about the game of basketball. Her passion for the game and her dedication to helping young student athletes develop their playing abilities, talent-skill level, and character will be a huge contribution to supporting our lady tiger’s basketball program. Coach T is a former Division 1 athlete, with over 20 years of basketball experience, playing at a wide range of different levels of the game, including the Georgia Spartans Semi-professional Women’s team!  
Coach Pearson currently holds the all-time leading ‘scoring title’ at her alma mater high school, Uniondale H.S. in Long Island, NY. Reigning in over 1,800-points in her high school career!  
During her senior year, she became the girls’ basketball, first ever player to reach a 1000-points, making her school history!  Coach T’s passion and desire for the game reflects how she once played the game and continues develop in her coaching style!
